Stewart Little Falls

A few weekends ago, Skyler's cousin Brady invited us to go hiking with him and his wife, Jessica. It was a nice, sunny Saturday (which I was thrilled about), and we needed some exercise (which Skyler was not thrilled about), so we accepted. The hike was extremely pleasant, and everyone had a great time. Except, apparently, for Skyler. If you ask him how he liked it, he will, in all seriousness, tell you that it was a brutal hike, and he will never do it again. He must not have gone on the same hike as the rest of us.

A few pictures because, well, just because:

It almost looked like I was hiking in Maryland!

Until we got to a view of the hillside,
and I realized there was a lot of missing greenery.
Oh Utah, you just don't quite cut it in the foliage department.

Stewart Falls in all its glory.

As we were walking up to the main falls,
Skyler and I noticed a little trickle of water off to the side.
He said something to the effect of, "Look, little Stewart Falls."
I promptly replied, "No, it's Stewart Little Falls!"
I just couldn't help myself.

Skyler and Brady decided to go swimming in the water,
which is supposedly the cool kid thing to do.
But the water was so dang cold that this is as far as they got.
Which was much farther than me. I barely even stuck my hand in.

My nose is actually red from the cold water.
In the middle of the summer.
